
A 19-year-old man from Hazelwood was fatally shot Saturday evening in Ferguson, Missouri. Darrean Proudie was found deceased following a ShotSpotter alert that brought Ferguson Police to the 300 block of Randolph Street, near Shirley Avenue, around 8:15 p.m. According to FOX2now, officers discovered Proudie with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of EMS personnel, Proudie was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ferguson Police Department has actively begun to follow several leads to investigate this incident thoroughly. As reported by KSDK, a spokesperson stated, "The Ferguson Police Department is actively following several leads in this ongoing investigation." Homicide detectives have been assigned to the case.
Information surrounding these distressing events remains sparse, but authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. "Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Ferguson Police Department at 314-522-3100. Tips can also be shared anonymously," the police department relayed, as indicated in the coverage by First Alert 4.
