In a significant development in Monroe County's fight against narcotics trafficking, authorities apprehended a couple on Monday morning at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments, seizing a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. Acting on a tip regarding Tramaine Haynes' alleged drug dealing, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigators initiated the warrant search at 8:51 a.m., uncovering two large crack cocaine "cookies", additional crack cocaine pieces, powder cocaine, marijuana, and an array of paraphernalia associated with drug sales and consumption, reported FOX 5 Atlanta.
Arrested on the scene were Tramaine Haynes and Taquilla Williams; they stand accused of a litany of charges including trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute both cocaine and marijuana, and distribution of controlled substances in proximity to public housing, whereas Williams faces an additional charge for violating a family violence order this all according to 41NBC.
Evidence confiscated from the premises consisted of two crack cocaine "cookies" the load weighing in at roughly 41.1 grams, plus smaller crack pieces totaling 18 grams, and a parcel of powder cocaine tipping the scales at 9.3 grams; over and above this, deputies seized upward of 140 grams of marijuana, alongside the drug-related objects. The duo, now facing serious narcotics charges, are being held at Monroe County Jail – pertinent to note, Haynes had previously secured bond for similar charges as of November.
Haynes and Williams remain in custody without bond as the legal process continues. Haynes, previously granted bond on similar charges, is now back behind bars. Authorities suggest more charges or arrests may follow as the investigation progresses.
