
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been called in to examine a death in Macon County after a body was found by hunters in a wooded area near Flint River. According to a GBI press release, the discovery took place early on New Year's Day, around 9:00 a.m. The remains have been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death by a medical examiner.
The investigation remains active, with the GBI and the Macon County Sheriff's Office working jointly to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
