A Georgia healthcare worker has been arrested after videos surfaced online of her dancing suggestively above a disabled person. The Loganville woman, identified as 19-year-old Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan, has been charged with exploitation of a disabled person, a felony offense. The FOX 5 Atlanta reported that Loganville Police Department acted upon a tip-off regarding the video and executed a search warrant leading to Koiyan's arrest last Thursday.
Footage of the incident shows Koiyan dancing while standing on the handles of a wheelchair, above a silent man with his head down. The video, which prompted widespread online outrage, was accompanied by a response from Koiyan who tried to downplay the incident, mentioning, "It's not what it looks like, trust and believe, angles play a part," in a video that has since been deleted. However, Koiyan appeared to just further spark the controversy by posting another video, in addition to continuously push the boundaries with her content, as detailed by Daily Mail.
Public reaction to the videos was scathing, with many calling for Koiyan's healthcare license to be revoked. Expressing disbelief, one viewer commented, "You need locking up and your registration taking off you for life," while another voiced their shock. A third person criticized the inappropriateness, "Girl you not even suppose to post your patients let alone dance on they head, assault them and exploit them for views," as noted by Dail Mail.
Further intensifying the situation, Koiyan uploaded another contentious TikTok video, this time featuring her in a nurse's outfit and performing similarly provocative dances over another individual seated in a bathtub. As reported by Daily Mail, Koiyan captioned the video "On to the next one". Despite the viral nature of these videos, Loganville Police stated that they had no record of any reports relating to this second incident.
Koiyan is currently being held at the Walton County Jail as the investigation continues.
