
The Georgia State Patrol is actively seeking assistance from the public in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in injuries to two teenagers. The event, which took place in Whitfield County on the evening of last Monday, has led to an ongoing investigation, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
According to details provided by FOX 5 Atlanta, the teenagers, both age 16, were skateboarding on Cohutta Varnell Road when they were struck by a black 2014 or 2015 Honda Accord. The car was traveling south and after colliding with the teens, the driver reportedly left the scene without stopping to render aid or provide information.
One teen was treated for minor injuries and released, while the other was airlifted to Erlanger Chattanooga with more serious injuries. Their condition is unknown. Authorities have no leads on the hit-and-run driver or the Honda Accord involved. "The driver's identity and the location of the Honda Accord are unknown," officials said.
