Last night, the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit responded to a debris fire reported near Bolsa Rd and Hwy 25 in the southern part of Gilroy, within Santa Clara County, effectively preventing further spread or structural damage. The firefighters swiftly put out the blaze, dedicating several hours post-extinguishment to cooling down the large pile of debris, according to the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit.
Beyond extinguishing the fire, the crews faced the additional task of thoroughly decontaminating their engines, personal protective equipment, and all tools utilized in the fire suppression effort.
