Gilroy Police are turning to the public, hoping for leads in identifying a robbery suspect following a morning heist at the Garlic Farm Center last week. Authorities say a man in a maroon sweatshirt, brandishing a handgun, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the establishment located on the 5000 block of Travel Park Circle. The incident occurred last Thursday around 2:50 am.
The police described the suspect's attire in detail, noting he was last seen in a "maroon hooded sweatshirt with a darker-colored Nike swoosh logo on the chest, a black face mask, a red shirt and black sweatpants," as well as "black and white sneakers." In an attempt to cast a wider net in their search, the Gilroy Police Department shared these details in a post on social media, which included an image of the man they're looking to identify.
Local residents and those with potential information are being urged to contact the authorities. Detective Jason Greathead has been assigned the case and is actively seeking tips that could lead to the suspect's arrest.
