A barn fire erupted in the 5900 block of County Road 912 was battled by the City of Godley Fire Department and several other units, as per an update shared on the department's official social media channels. The post, made public late yesterday, provided a real-time account of the fire response efforts, urging locals to steer clear of the area due to the heavy fire activity.
The situation quickly escalated, necessitating medical support; "CareFlite ground on scene for a citizen with breathing problems" was revealed to have arrived at the scene around 8:35 pm, according to the City of Godley Fire Department. Emergency Support Service was also called in to provide firefighter rehab while the fire raged swiftly.
As the night progressed, the firefighters' efforts began to pay off. By 10:32 pm, an update confirmed the fire had been extinguished.
