In Goodyear, Arizona, a palpable excitement is in the air as the community gears up for a milestone event: the 20th anniversary of the Heart & Sole 5K and 1 Mile run. Set to take place on February 8, this beloved local tradition invites families and runners to hit the pavement in support of National Heart Health Month. This family-friendly event, supporting National Heart Health Month, offers affordable entry fees—$10 for the 5K and $5 for the 1-mile race, as reported by the City of Goodyear.
This year, participants will enjoy new routes through the scenic Goodyear Ballpark, accompanied by energetic DJs. Rucking enthusiasts can once again tackle the course with added weight, while strollers and dogs are welcome.
Participants are encouraged to wear their oldest race shirts for a chance to win prizes, adding a nostalgic flair to the event. The festivities at Goodyear Ballpark, located at 1933 S. Ballpark Way, will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Register at goodyearaz.gov/events and be part of this celebration of community and heart health, the City of Goodyear stated.
