Carroll County Parks and Georgia Rivers are organizing the Chattahoochee River Camp & Paddle event. It offers river travel and camping at newly developed sites with necessary amenities, according to the Carroll County.
The two-day journey along the Chattahoochee River starts with a camp at Campbellton on Friday night, followed by a 16-mile paddle to Chattahoochee Hills on Saturday. The trip ends with a 12-mile float to McIntosh Reserve. The route spans nearly 70 miles, with paddle-in campsites that include restrooms and showers, as reported by the Carroll County.
Registration for an aquatic adventure, announced on December 28, includes guided trips with shuttle services, meals, and educational programs. The route is mostly flatwater with some Class I rapids, suitable for beginners with some paddling experience. Participants can bring their own gear or rent it during registration, as stated by the Carroll County.
