The discovery was made just before 9:30 a.m. behind Gonzalez Tire Shop, located in the 1300 block of East Shelby Drive, according to Action News 5. As of now, the details remain scarce, and the cause of death for the infant has not been determined. Investigations are currently underway.
Memphis Police responded to the scene after the call was received. Subsequently, the baby's mother was taken to Regional One for medical attention for undisclosed reasons that have been described as non-life-threatening.
