The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced a schedule of maintenance work that could impact travel plans from Tuesday to Friday. According to the latest report from MoDOT, posted on Friday, there will be full closures on certain routes for culvert replacement and brush cutting activities.
Lafayette County will see Route PP shutting down at various segments between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Specifically, closures will occur between Goose Creek Rd. and Brinkman Rd. on Tuesday, then shifting between Panther Creek Rd. and Brackman Rd. on Wednesday, MoDOT states. The last two days, Thursday and Friday, the closures will stretch from Brackman Rd. to St. Louis St. MoDOT reminds drivers that, no maintenance work will be taking place tomorrow.
In Ray County, you'll need to be on the lookout for a full closure of Route EE, which will be inaccessible from MO-210 to Franklin Rd. on Tuesday and Wednesday during the same 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. timeframe. Similarly, Missouri Business Highway 10 from Missouri Highway 10 to Swafford Rd. will be completely closed on Thursday, and, Friday for brush cutting operations.
It's important for motorists to stay alert and slow down in work zones. These areas could range from short-term, temporary lane closures for quick fixes or debris removal. "Not all work zones look alike," says a MoDOT representative. Ensuring the safety of both the workers and the drivers is key, so extra caution is advised during these periods of maintenance work.
