Kennesaw Parks & Recreation is hosting its annual Book Swap on Jan. 25, at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Book and vinyl enthusiasts can swap items for new ones, according to the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation.
Residents can drop off gently used books (hardcover and paperback), CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records on Jan. 23 and Jan. 24, from noon to 8 p.m. For each item donated, participants will receive a ticket, which can be used to swap for new items on Jan. 25. Donated books must have both front and back covers, and CDs, DVDs, and vinyl must be in their original cases, as reported by the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation.
The Kennesaw Parks & Recreation community book, CD, DVD, and vinyl swap is a no-cost event where participants can donate up to 75 books, 40 CDs, 40 DVDs, and 40 vinyl records, all available for adoption by others. Any unclaimed items at the end will be donated. Volunteers are needed for both drop-off days and the swap itself, with tasks ranging from setup to cleanup, and a lifting requirement of up to 20 pounds. Interested locals can sign up through "Volunteer Opportunities" on CivicRec, as stated by the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation.
