On Thursday evening in the 1500 block of Beachcomber Boulevard, the tranquility was shattered by the outbreak of a fire consuming a Fifth Wheel RV, according to the Lake Havasu City website. At around 7:00 p.m., as darkness began to blanket the city, an occupant reported the blaze which soon engulfed the entire recreational vehicle. The swift response of firefighters brought firefighters to the scene where they encountered the inferno in full force.
The Lake Havasu City Fire Department dispatched three engine companies, a truck company, and a Battalion Chief who converged on the conflagration, working tirelessly to quell the flames which they managed to bring under control within 30 minutes, as reported by the city's official news outlet. While the fire raged, the occupant was able to evacuate without sustaining injuries, a small mercy in the face of such a potentially devastating event.
Crews remained on the scene well into the night, laboring for an additional two and a half hours amidst the wreckage to carry out salvage operations in the aftermath of the havoc. "The cause of the fire is under investigation," as stated by Lake Havasu City.
