Drivers on Loop 101 may face delays overnight. According to a recent declaration by the Arizona Department of Transportation, a span of the Loop 101 freeway will see lane restrictions that could impact the nightly travel routine. Specifically, you'll want to watch out for the right lane being off-limits on Loop 101 between 51st and 75th avenues. Starting today, these restrictions will be in effect nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and will continue until Friday, January 17, as stated on the city's official website.
The lane reductions started this Monday and will continue through Friday, February 7. The westbound Loop 101 frontage road between 33rd and 51st Avenues, as well as the eastbound frontage road between 33rd Avenue and I-17, will be limited to a single lane nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The lane closures are part of the Loop 101 widening project between 75th Avenue and I-17, aimed at expanding and improving this major freeway.
