The Lehrman Community Day School has initiated the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility. Celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, the new learning center will encompass 29,000 square feet of modernized space designed to enrich student experiences. According to WSVN, the new facilities will house specialty classrooms, an expansive library, and spacious cafeteria.
Further enhancing the school's capabilities will be the addition of a gym, a 1,000 square foot rooftop area, and an auditorium. Jodi Bruce, the head of the school, articulated the significance of this project, stating, “The building means something different to each of us. As a group, it’s a symbol of of our commitment to the future, to generations of students that will walk through its doors. Together we are building something extraordinary for today, tomorrow, and many years to come.” The City of Miami Beach has echoed the school's optimism by proclaiming yesterday, Lehrman Community School Day, as reported by WSVN.
A celebratory post on the school's Instagram account highlights the sense of community and continuity of their efforts, marking the occasion, "What an incredible way to mark this momentous occasion for the future of Jewish education in South Florida."
Despite the project's ambitious scale, completion is expected by 2026.
