A violent episode shattered the calm of Lenoir City over the weekend, leading to a man's death and sparking an urgent manhunt for two persons of interest. According to WVLT, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office is actively searching for Ashley Sharp and Vincent Ellis following a deadly shooting on Taylor Drive; the duo is believed to have fled the scene in a dark blue 2004 GMC Yukon.
The male victim, whose identity remains unrevealed, was confirmed dead after the incident, a grim detail shared by 6 News. Adding to the sense of urgency, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office has warned the public that Sharp and Ellis are considered armed and dangerous and advises against attempting to approach the suspects, instead imploring the community to stay vigilant and report any pertinent information or sightings. The situation remains tense as Cpl. Cody Bengel of LCSO voiced, "It is believed that Sharp and Ellis left the area and may have went toward Knox County," a statement obtained by WVLT.
For those in and around Lenoir City, the description of the getaway vehicle is critical; it is a dark blue 2004 GMC Yukon, with the Tennessee license plate marked 511-BNKS. WBIR emphasizes that any observations of either the suspects or the vehicle should be promptly communicated to emergency services by dialling 911 or by contacting the Loudon County Sheriff's Office directly at 865-458-9081.
In the meantime, law enforcement officials continue piecing together the events of yesterday's shooting, working to track the suspects' movements and potential location, "Do not approach them," LCSO has cautioned, as reported by WBIR.
