The new year has brought with it an unclaimed windfall for some lucky lottery players in the Valley. As reported by ABC15, a $1.19 million prize from a Triple Twist jackpot ticket for the December 30, 2024 draw is yet to find its owner. The winner's ticket was sold at Quiktrip on North 51st Avenue in Glendale. With the winning numbers 5, 11, 13, 26, 32, and 37, the anticipation for the winner to step forward keeps growing.
Adding to the mystery, a second unclaimed ticket, this time a $1 million Powerball prize from the January 1 drawing, waits at Safeway on West Osborn Road in Phoenix. The drawing's winning digits, "6, 12, 28, 35, and 66, with a Powerball of 26," remain the lucky combination for an undisclosed winner, as per ABC15. Despite the fact that these prizes still lay in waiting as of Thursday morning, according to an Arizona Lottery representative, the clock is ticking for the winners to come forth.
KTAR notes that this $1 million Powerball ticket was one of two major wins nationally, with its counterpart sold in North Carolina. However, the big jackpot prize, which was standing at an estimated $181 million, avoided capture on Wednesday, keeping Powerball players in eager anticipation for the next scheduled drawing, which boasts an increased bounty of $200 million.
