A late-night disturbance in Phoenix turned deadly when a 26-year-old man was fatally shot at an apartment complex. The incident occurred on Wednesday, around 11:30 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Cholla Street. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, police arrived to find Marcos Antonio Daniel-Eby with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities quickly to engage a second man at the scene, who admitted involvement in the shooting. After an initial interview, he was released pending further investigation, as reported by AZFamily. The details leading up to this violent moment have yet to be disclosed to the public.
Investigators are in the process to meticulously gather additional details and expect to submit their findings to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Phoenix Police Sgt. Robert Scherer stated, "Homicide detectives responded to assume the investigation. An adult male was contacted who admitted to being involved in the shooting. This man was interviewed and released pending additional investigation," as stated by FOX 10 Phoenix.
