The incident occurred on the 400 block of Hawthorne Street, around the 3:40 a.m. mark on Thursday, as reported by KSAT.
The driver, who has not been identified, is believed to have been speeding before the crash. The San Antonio Police Department told News 4 San Antonio that the man was transferred to an area hospital with head injuries, following the accident that happened just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. The severity of his condition has not been released. Notably, early indications from the police suggest that the man was not under the influence at the time of the accident.
