
A man was killed in a collision yesterday caused by a driver heading the wrong way on westbound I-64 near Jefferson. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) is investigating the incident, which involved three vehicles.
A 22-year-old male driving a Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when he collided head-on with a Honda Accord. The crash also caused a Toyota Camry to be involved. The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Dodge Ram driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The 41-year-old male driver of the Camry was not injured.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded quickly to the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released as authorities continue the identification process.
