A carjacking incident was reported at a Mobile Gas Station in the North Riverfront area according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The event unfolded on the 6000 block of N. Broadway, the evening of December 6, around 5:45 p.m., when a 35-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint.
After assisting the suspect with snow shoveling, responding to an area in the County, the victim became suspicious of the suspect's intentions and decided to return to the gas station. Prior to the robbery, the victim had encountered the gun-wielding suspect, who initially sought help for snow shoveling at that same place. Once back at the gas station, the same man cornered the 35-year-old, now wielding a gun and demanding his car forcefully.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police provided details on the incident, stating that the carjacker seized the victim's Nissan Rogue and escaped, another male in a Chevy Traverse following him. Although the victim was unharmed, his automobile was spirited away by the armed assailant.
The police are actively investigating the carjacking, and they are calling on anyone with information to come forward.
