A man was stabbed after a confrontation last Thursday in The Greater Ville neighborhood, according to St. Louis Police Department. The 56-year-old, whose identity has not been disclosed, was seated in his vehicle when the assailant, allegedly known to him, shattered the car window with a brick and proceeded to stab the victim. The SLMPD reported that the violent exchange was the result of an ongoing feud.
The victim recounted to police that, having been struck in the face by the brick, a brief struggle ensued during which the assailant produced a knife and inflicted a stab wound to his chest. The suspect, after stabbing, fled the scene in an unspecified direction, leaving the injured man to seek aid at his home from where he contacted the authorities. Stabbed in the chest, causing only a small puncture wound, the 56-year-old was then transported by EMS to a hospital and has been listed in stable condition.
St. Louis police are actively seeking information to apprehend the individual responsible for this act of violence. While the investigation is ongoing, the SLMPD has issued a call for tips that could assist in resolving the case. They urge anyone with information to come forward anonymously if preferred and mention the possibility of a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest.
