The City of Marietta has announced that its administrative offices, including the Marietta Power and Water offices, will be closed on Monday next week in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
According to the City of Marietta website, in addition to the closure of city hall, there will be changes to weekly services such as garbage, brush/yard waste, and recycling pickup. Residents are advised to check the Marietta Trash Talk app or visit the City website for details on the holiday collection schedule.
Emergency services will still be available. In life-threatening emergencies, residents should call 9-1-1. For urgent, non-life-threatening situations, such as police non-emergencies, the Marietta Police Department can be reached at 770-794-5300. Emergencies related to Marietta Power or Water should be directed to 770-794-5160.
Animal Control will respond to emergency calls through the 9-1-1 system, ensuring the safety of both residents and animals in the community.
