
Marietta Police are in the midst of piecing together the circumstances that concluded with the grim discovery of Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr., a 59-year-old man found fatally shot at a local car wash. As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident took place on the 1200 block of Bellemeade Drive just past the 8 p.m. hour on Monday.
The authorities were alerted by a 911 call that indicated that Richardson was lying motionless on the ground of the car wash bay. It was later confirmed by officers at the scene that he had been shot and was pronounced dead soon after their arrival. As of now, the Marietta Police are working to swiftly identify the individual or individuals responsible and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist the investigation.
Much of what led to Richardson's death remains obscure. Nevertheless, the call for witnesses or anyone privy to details concerning the incident stands. According to Atlanta News First, Marietta police have asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and contact the Marietta Police Department.
