
A fire heavily damaged a Maury County home on Tuesday morning. The blaze, reported at 09:32 on Hwy 166 North, led to a quick response from Maury County Fire Department and fire units from Mount Pleasant and Marshall, as reported by the Maury County Fire Department.
A full-scale response was initiated with Engines 21, 22, 34, Tankers 22, 23, 32, Rescue 21, and additional units. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered "heavy fire conditions throughout the home." A defensive strategy was implemented after signs of structural collapse were observed. A primary search was conducted before crews were withdrawn for safety, as stated by the Maury County Fire Department.
The Red Cross assisted a displaced homeowner after a fire that lasted over five hours. No civilians were injured, but one firefighter was treated on-site by EMS. According to the Maury County Fire Department on their Facebook page, Mount Pleasant Fire provided valuable support during the response.
