Memphis authorities have made an arrest in connection with an arson case that caused an estimated $4.1 million in damages last month. Carl King was identified as the suspect in the fire that engulfed the property at 3425 Summer Ave on December 23, 2024, as reported by the Memphis Fire Department in a social media update.
The Memphis Police Department, teaming up with fire investigators, followed up on several tips that led to King's apprehension. On the scene, running their investigation meticulously, the fire investigators determined the fire at the commercial building was intentionally set from the outside.
The Memphis Fire Department expressed gratitude towards the community, stating, "THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIPS THAT HELPED INVESTIGATORS CAPTURE THIS SUSPECT."
