The Memphis Police Department is seeking information on two suspects involved in separate robberies at the Daily Market on South Cooper Street, as per their social media announcement. The first incident occurred on December 20, 2024 when an individual, described as a black male wearing all-black attire and a distinctive red glove, leaped over the counter with a black handgun and demanded cash from the store employee before fleeing on foot.
Additionally, on December 30, 2024, the same suspect, accompanied by a second individual—also described as a black male, but with a heavier build and wearing blue latex gloves—repeated the crime. The second suspect held the door while the first executed the robbery, and they both escaped on foot, according to the Memphis Police Department est.1827 Facebook page. The department has issued report numbers 2412027238ME & 2412030780ME about these incidents.
Despite the release of video footage and a photo attached to their post, no arrests have been made in connection with the robberies thus far. The Memphis Police Department stresses that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Community members with any pertinent information are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers, with assurances that their identity will be protected and they may be eligible for a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest.
Crime Stoppers can be reached at (901) 528-CASH and anonymous tips can be submitted through their website or the ‘P3 Tips’ mobile app. "You will be given a personal ID number, and your identification will remain completely anonymous," stated the Memphis Police Department on their post.
