The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's help tracking down a suspect connected to a recent theft in Southwest. The incident occurred late last month and involved a suspect stealing items from a local business on Maine Avenue.
Authorities were called to the scene on December 27, 2024, after a theft was reported. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect entered the establishment around 11:20 a.m., committed the theft, and subsequently fled. The MPD has turned to the community for assistance, hoping some may recognize the individual from available surveillance material.

As an incentive, the MPD is offering a reward—up to $1,000 may be issued for information that leads to an arrest and indictment tied to the crime.
