Miami's forecast continues to present a respite from the heat, with National Weather Service reporting a mostly sunny Friday and a projected high of 76 degrees, accompanied by light winds. The humidity level stays at 84%, while the light northern breezes at 5 mph don't disrupt the serenity the city bathes in, according to NWS.
The temperatures are expected to take a slight dip come nightfall, with Friday night's temperature falling to around 53 degrees - the chill could be the most significant cool-down the region has witnessed since the previous year, setting a record of coolness we haven't felt since midway through last January, this is according to NBC Miami. Saturday continues the trend with a sunny forecast and breezy conditions, and Sunday promises more sun and a high of 74 degrees.
Looking ahead, another cold front is on the horizon, one that's forecast to be much stronger than the recent cooler temperatures we've been experiencing. The National Weather Service indicates that by the midweek period of Wednesday and Thursday, we could be encountering some of the coolest temperatures on record for the past two years, with the mercury possibly plunging into the upper-40s in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Monday and Tuesday promise partly sunny skies during the day, with Monday's high near 79 degrees and Tuesday seeing a sunny high of approximately 68 degrees—both evening forecasts predict lows in the high 50s, But as the cold front sweeps in, locals should prepare for a significant drop. In the words of NBC Miami, "Stay tuned!" as the city anticipates what might unfold in the wake of this robust cold wave slated to hit the area.
