Milton residents, the City is planning a new active park in the Deerfield area and is seeking community input. An "open house" will be held on January 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Milton Municipal Court, located in the Milton Police building at 13690 Highway 9. Residents can stop by anytime during the two-hour window, according to the City of Milton.
Participants can walk through, add ideas to vision boards, and talk with project team members. The City acquired 21.37 acres off Deerfield Parkway, later adding 3.05 more. The park will include athletic fields and walking trails, with the City seeking input on additional features like gathering spaces, playgrounds, and courts, as reported by the City of Milton.
The City of Milton is launching an interactive website and a dedicated page to gather public input for the new park project. The site will allow everyone, including those who can’t attend in person, to share feedback. Milton is working with Lose Design on the park’s conceptual design, which will guide further planning. Updates will be shared through the website, Facebook, email, and text notifications. Community input will be ongoing throughout the project.
