Commuters in Missouri may need to plan around a southbound lane closure on Missouri Route 125 just south of Strafford next Thursday, January 9, 2024. According to MoDOT, the closure will take place at Farm Road 112 and will span from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow crews to replace a pipe lying beneath the road surface.
The work is bound to impact traffic, with flaggers set to direct both northbound and southbound traffic on Route 125 through the work zone. Additionally, Farm Road 112 will be closed west of Route 125. Drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes as no signed detours are planned for this day-long project. MoDOT is taking measures to alert drivers with signs and message boards placed ahead of approaching the work zone.
Travelers looking for real-time traffic updates and more in-depth coverage of road closures or any other potential traffic impacts can check out MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map. This resource is invaluable for anyone needing to navigate around or through the work zone next Thursday or in cases where weather or construction delays choose to extend the work schedule beyond planned hours.
