Drivers in Wright County should prepare for a short detour as Route AF shuts down for some much-needed bridge maintenance. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that the stretch of road over Beaver Creek, from Crisptown Road to Mings Drive near Manes, will be out of commission while the work is carried out.
Provided the weather doesn't throw a wrench in the plans, MoDOT's crews are set to roll up their sleeves on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. So, during the daylight hours, finding an alternate route will become necessary for the local commuters.
According to MoDOT, they'll be signaling the closures clearly with signs. Motorists who happen to be in the area when the work is happening are advised to proceed with increased caution.
