Mountain View police detectives recently concluded an investigation into a series of burglaries with the arrest of one individual following a search warrant served in Santa Clara. According to the Mountain View Police Department, officers executed the warrant at around 12:30 p.m. yesterday in response to multiple burglary reports at an apartment complex on Lena Way. The suspect, Jessica Castro, was linked to at least two incidents.
The Mountain View PD Crime Suppression Unit initiated its investigation last November after a pattern of burglaries emerged. An extensive probe ensued, zeroing in on Castro, a 34-year-old Santa Clara resident. Upon serving the search warrant at her home on Elliot Street, detectives arrested Castro. She has since been booked on two counts of burglary under California Penal Code 459 and for an alleged probation violation.
The authorities have reminded community members to stay vigilant and report any burglary in progress by dialing 9-1-1 immediately. The MVPD has provided a non-emergency line at 650-903-6344 for non-emergencies and to report suspicious activity.
