A Nashville man is facing serious charges after being accused of sex trafficking a teenage girl. Torrance Cosby, 48, was arrested at a motel on Brick Church Pike and is charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act and being a felon in possession of a firearm, as reported by WKRN. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents had initially taken notice of a concerning commercial sex ad featuring a 17-year-old girl.

Following up on a tip received on Jan. 28, TBI agents, alongside the Metro Nashville Police Department, executed search warrants and uncovered the minor, who was reportedly listed as missing from West Tennessee. According to a WSMV report, the girl identified Cosby as her "pimp" and detailed that she was compelled to engage in commercial sex acts under his directive, surrendering all earned money to him.

Officers found Cosby in a motel room with another woman. She was also engaging in commercial sex at his behest. A press release from the TBI cited by NewsChannel 5 mentioned that several electronic devices were seized during the operation. This arrest comes in light of Cosby's history of multiple felony convictions dating back to the 1990s, including a cocaine-related offense that resulted in a 15-year sentence in 2015.

In her chilling testimony, the victim relayed to investigators that failure to accrue money would result in being kicked out into the cold, only allowing re-entry upon payment. During his arrest, which was shortly after linking him to the teen, officers discovered a stolen gun with Cosby, adding further charges to his dossier. Cosby's arraignment is scheduled for today.
