
A Needham Heights man was arrested by the Reading Police Department on charges of operating under the influence. He was found unresponsive in his vehicle in a parking lot on Monday morning, as stated by the Reading Police Department.
The Reading Police Department reported that 41-year-old Edgyr Annilus was found slumped over the wheel of a blue Nissan Rogue at 10:41 a.m. on Walkers Brook Drive. After several attempts to wake him, including opening the driver's side door, officers were able to wake Annilus.
According to the Reading Massachusetts Police Department on their Facebook page, Annilus was arrested after officers found an open bottle of liquor in his car and smelled alcohol. A field sobriety test showed his blood alcohol level was .213, well over the legal limit. He has been charged with driving under the influence and possessing an open container in the vehicle. Annilus is set to be arraigned at Woburn District Court on Tuesday. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court.
