The New Orleans Police Department is currently conducting an investigation following a shooting incident in the Venetian Isles neighborhood that left one woman injured. The shooting took place early this morning, around 3:40 a.m., on the 4400 block of Francesco Road, as WDSU reported.
According to WWLTV report, the victim, an adult female, sustained a gunshot wound during the incident. She was promptly transported to the hospital by emergency medical services for treatment.
The current state of her condition has not been publicly disclosed, and, there appears to be no immediate information about potential suspects in the case as noted by Audacy.
