The team shared on Facebook that the sedation process was initially difficult, but doctors successfully removed McGuire's breathing tube on Sunday morning, marking a positive step in his recovery. McGuire, now described as "alert and ok" by his family, is still under close medical supervision, as reported by the school.
In a follow-up social media post, the team shared positive news about McGuire's improving condition. "GREAT NEWS! The extubation (removal of breathing tube) process went well this morning! The family says that Tyrell is “alert and OK,’” the school posted on Facebook.
