The incident that unfolded on the 3000 block of Porter Avenue is believed to be potentially gang-related, sparking a swift response by law enforcement. As reported by KFOX-TV, the El Paso Police Department received calls about the gunfire at approximately 4:35 p.m., after which the department's gang unit was promptly deployed to the scene.
Details regarding the shooting remain scant, as authorities are continuing to piece together the circumstances of the incident. It was confirmed that one person was indeed rushed to the hospital, however, the extent of their injuries has yet to be disclosed. KTSM reported that the El Paso Police have yet to release information on how severely the individual was injured in the shooting.
