A somber discovery was made in a Phoenix neighborhood this Tuesday morning when a man and woman were found dead in their home. Phoenix Police responded to a home near Union Hills Drive and 7th Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, upon arriving, they found evidence of a shooting, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The officers discovered the bodies of a 65-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. The woman had succumbed to an apparent gunshot wound, while the man's wound was reportedly self-inflicted, "When officers got there, they located evidence of a shooting and inside the house found a 65-year-old woman dead of an apparent gunshot wound. A 69-year-old man was also located dead inside the house with what is being reported as a self-inflicted gunshot wound," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Brian Bower, in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix. The identities of the deceased have not been released as the investigation continues to determine their relationship to one another.
