A fatal shooting in Pittsburg has claimed the life of a 31-year-old Antioch man. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, unfolded just after 9 PM when Contra Costa Fire personnel, attending an unrelated call, were informed by a citizen about a nearby shooting. Upon arrival at the intersection of Century Boulevard and North Park Boulevard, the first responders discovered both a vehicle and evidence indicative of the shooting, as reported by the Pittsburg Police Department.
The victim, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Immediate medical efforts were administered, and he was transported to a hospital. Tragically, despite the life-saving measures attempted by emergency medical teams, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
