Prescott Valley residents interested in sustainability and urban planning have an upcoming opportunity to engage with city officials and environmental experts. On January 16, town staff and WEST consultants will present new guidelines for Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) as a part of the Master Drainage Plan update. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Prescott Valley Police Department Training Room, located at 7601 E Skoog Blvd.
The GSI approach seeks to address a slew of pressing urban environmental concerns. By mimicking natural processes, GSI aims to conserve water, manage stormwater, improve water and air quality, and mitigate nuisance flooding.
