On January 10, a disruptive incident unfolded in Rancho Cucamonga's Del Taco when 28-year-old Cherice Harris, a resident, reportedly assaulted two employees by throwing a cash register, according to the SBSD Rancho Cucamonga Police Department. There was a continuation of chaos as Harris went to another nearby business, spat water into an employee's face after a seemingly benign request for the liquid, and was subsequently thrust out of the establishment by the employee, which led to a further altercation.
After deputies took control of the situation, Harris was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, her bail set at $40,000 and incarceration at the West Valley Detention Center, as detailed by the SBSD Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
