A 62-year-old woman has died in Renton, and her 34-year-old son is now a suspect in her homicide. The son called 911 on Tuesday to report her death, and when police arrived at the scene on Williams Avenue South, they found the woman and arrested him, according to KIRO 7.
Neighbors were surprised by recent events, especially since the son had arrived at his mother's home around Christmas. One neighbor, Williams, recalled an incident when the son had a seizure, saying, "First day, he had a seizure in the living room, glass table fell flat on it, no scars or nothing." Williams also mentioned a phone call on the morning of the incident: "Lee had called at like 12:30, and I didn’t pick up the phone in time. A couple of seconds later, I called her back. She said, ‘I called you. I called the wrong number’. I didn’t think no mind," as stated by FOX 13 Seattle.
The investigation into a woman's death is ongoing, with the suspect in custody. The case involves family issues, and the community is awaiting further information. "She lived alone for a while," said a neighbor about the woman before her son arrived. Renton Police have not released additional details, as reported by KING 5.
