Drivers on I-880 northbound near Broadway had a road rage escalated into an incident involving a BB-gun shooting. Last Thursday, the driver of the red Honda became the epicenter of fear as he allegedly let loose multiple shots at another commuter’s car, causing very real, if not life-threatening, damage.
A FLOCK Safety Camera led the San Francisco Police Department to the suspect vehicle. In a social media post, the CHP Oakland communicated that three occupants were caught in the law’s dragnet. The driver was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, while one passenger was left to reckon with an outstanding warrant. The third occupant was released.
Upon investigation of the vehicle, the gun in question was not semi-automatic but still a weapon, a BB gun, surrendered to CHP officers without incident.
