As the holiday season wraps up, San Luis residents have a sustainable way to dispose of their natural Christmas trees. The city's Public Works Department has launched a tree drop-off program available from January 2 through February 14, as detailed by the City of San Luis. In a move to facilitate recycling and reduce waste, the program encourages local participation by offering a convenient location for tree disposal.
Trees can be dropped off at the Public Works Yard, located at 1311 N. 4th Avenue, San Luis. The facility will be accepting trees Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. It's important for participants to prepare their trees by removing all decorations, tinsel, wires, hooks, and bags, as only natural trees will be accepted—artificial ones are not eligible for the program, according to the City of San Luis.
Residents seeking more information about the program can reach out to the Public Works Department directly. The Public Works Department can be contacted at (928) 341-8577 for any inquiries. Additional details are also available on the city's official website.
