A tense showdown in Sandy Springs led to the arrest of a man after a domestic dispute escalated into threats of violence involving a gun. WSBTV reports that police responded to Fenwick Place around 2 p.m. on Monday, following calls about a man, later identified as D'quan Prebble, who was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend. The situation took a dark turn when Prebble allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot everyone present, including a child.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the girlfriend's sister intervened in the dispute, attempting to deescalate the confrontation it was at that point that Prebble is accused of brandishing the firearm and making the grave threats. Arriving officers observed Prebble fleeing into the woods, igniting a two-hour manhunt that concluded with him being found and arrested in a wooded area near Dumaine Trace.
Prebble is now facing multiple charges including terroristic threats, cruelty to children in the third degree, theft by taking, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
