The Santa Clara Valley Medical Center's Rehabilitation Center, a major player in the country’s rehab field, recently earned a 3-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This recognition comes after U.S. News and World Report ranked it the best rehab center on the West Coast and sixth in the nation. According to the Santa Clara County News Center, CARF accreditation is a significant achievement, reflecting the center’s commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.

The CARF survey praised SCVMC’s dedication, noting that the staff is truly invested in patient care. Their compassion transforms the hospital from a clinical space into a caring environment for recovery. The surveyors specifically commended the staff’s kindness and empathy toward patients, families, students, and visitors.

Additionally, the center offers specialized programs for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and strokes, helping them thrive after recovery.
