A solo motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after a collision on Shoreline Boulevard just north of Villa Street in Mountain View. At approximately 1:53 p.m., the Mountain View Police Department responded to the incident, finding the motorcyclist unconscious when they arrived on the scene, according to the City of Mountain View.
The first responders acted swiftly to provide aid, delivering first aid measures until paramedics from the City of Mountain View Fire Department could take over. After initial treatment at the scene, the rider was promptly transported to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. Following the accident, the northbound section of Shoreline Boulevard north of Villa Street was closed temporarily to allow the police department’s traffic unit to collect evidence and interview witnesses. As the investigation into the cause of the collision continues, officials have preliminarily indicated that neither drugs nor alcohol were involved. This marks the latest serious traffic incident in the area since a fatal collision that occurred on December 4, 2023.
