Authorities in Spring Hill quickly responded to an alarm call at a Cleburne Road warehouse, which led to a couple of arrests early this morning. Spring Hill Police Department (SHPD) officers discovered evidence of an attempted burglary, noting that the fence surrounding the SRS Distribution warehouse had been cut. This warehouse, known for selling building materials and roofing products, became a crime scene that was rapidly contained by local law enforcement.
WSMV reported that officers found a woman using a drone, hiding in the woodlands adjacent to the property. She was subsequently taken into custody. Following her arrest, SHPD indicated that, based upon a citizen's tip, a man was later apprehended in the area on the same morning after a brief resistance. The police believe both the woman and man were complicit in the attempted warehouse theft.
In a post detailing the incident, Spring Hill Police Department's Facebook page stated that the officers had strong evidence tying the duo to the crime. The post explicitly mentioned that no other individuals are believed to be involved, indicating that the situation was quickly controlled.
Charges are pending for both suspects as the investigation continues. Maury County Source added that they were taken into custody without incident, suggesting a non-violent resolution to what could have escalated into a more dangerous conundrum.
